Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Isomata Akio visited the Sampur area this morning

(20) During this visit, the Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka personally inspected the Sampur-Periya Pond, which was renovated in 2022 with the financial assistance of the Japanese Government and handed over to the farmers. This pond was renovated at a cost of 9.4 million rupees. It is noteworthy that a memorandum containing requests was also handed over to the Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka by officials of the Sampur Agricultural Services Department for the renovation of the other two ponds in Sampur.
